I m loking for a driver for microsoft lifecam vx 700 to work on w2000 with sp4. thanks for answer.

Are you sure it's a VX 700 rather than a VX 7000? The VX 7000 is not compatible with Windows 2000 unfortunately. Try the driver for XP.

This solution is Applied for DESKTOP PC's

Just open the cabinet of u r CPU and on motherboard u find the sound card connector behind that u find a small IC on that u will be having name of the sound card i.e,for example Realtek,Sigmatel etc
like this or else it will be RTL followed by some number just make a note of the number and put in google u will get a link

or else

If it is a Branded Desktop just put the model number in google

or else

IF it is a Laptop just put the brand name and model number in google u will get a link

I will give u some of the Helpful Driver Websites Links (printer drivers, cdrom drivers, modem drivers, sound drivers, mouse drivers, monitor drivers, etc.) -

GIGABYTE - Support - Motherboard - Download Center

Drivers for all hardware - Free Drivers and Support (modem drivers, video drivers, printer drivers, sound drivers, dvd drivers, camera drivers, etc.) -
