Sorry I didnt see this reply. I cant understand. When I open a PDf I dont have any options for "change". Just the usual save etc.
You realise I am talking about a later version of the reader not the writer. I have version 8 reader installed.
So you are saying v6 will work if i install it but not version 8 which I have?
many thanks
You want to open the PDF files in the Acrobat v6 then you first install the setup of Acrobat v6 then Right click on any PDF File then click on the Change button, it will open up the OPEN WITH window, now here select the Acrobat v6. & press OK.
Now next time when so ever you open the PDF Files, it will be opened in the Acrobat v6.

- ok. So you right click on the pdf file & click on the properties then a window will opens, here you will find the Change button, click on that then a new window "Open With" opened, now select the reader v8 from the list & click ok, again click ok. & now your every pdf file will open in v8.
Hope your problem will be get solved now, if still you have any confusion then please let me know....

I have Acrobat 6.0 and I'm trying to embed a video into the document. I've used the Movie Tool and followed what I thought were the correct procedures but am unable to get it to play. I have two versions uploaded, a .wmv and a .flv file. I linked to the .flv file (http://www.xxxx/xxxxx.flv) and indicated it was a shockwave flash application, but it will not play. I did the same with the .wmv and I get a status bar at the bottom indicating ''buffering'', but the video won't play. Can anyone give me step by step instructions for embedding the video? I'd prefer that it be the .flv because of smaller file size, but at this point I don't care. I just need it inserted. Thanks.

I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0 reader/writer. My manager forwarded me an invoice she created in pdf format. In the Balance Due field the amount of the invoice is not properly aligned within that field. The amount is running outside of the text box. How do I edit that field so I can properly align the figure inside the Balance Due text box. I have tried to press the back space key, but that only moved the amount to another field within the invoice at the top of the invoice. I tried some of the editing tools, but that didn't work either.

I have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional installed which I have been using for some years now - This problem started only 2 days ago - When I am in one of my accounting programs and I want to send a report to a third party, I usually print by selecting "Adobe PDF" in my printer selections - this creates a file which I can email to other persons and they only need Adobe Reader to read it - what has happened is that it now says "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Distillr\ADIST32.dllPress Quality:joboptions" Do you want to run the installer in repair mode? I clicked yes and then it started but when I inserted the original disk (which I havent used since it was installed) the system could not read the disk - How do I fix this (Note: when I open up Adobe it still works - just wont print to a file)
