No sound from my computer soeakers

Your computer is not recognising the speakers assuming you have them installed on you PC, laptop, tablet or device.

Assuming it is a computer as you suggested in your question if you go to start menu > control panel > device manager and then look down the list. If there are any yellow triangles with an exclamation mark in the middle that would suggest your computer is not running that device or application fully or correctly. In a lot of cases the driver for such a device will just need updated. If you ensure that all the upadates have been downloaded and installed on your PC this may solve your problem without further investigation.

I would next look in start menu > control panel > sound. This will be all the devices under that category recognised by your PC. Make sure the correct one is selected and marked as right click the mouse and ensure the correct one is your default. You will also be able to test to ensure it is all working as you think it should be. Hope this helps.

Sound issues

Check the sound on headphone, if it has a socket. Try changing the input device to some other like a DVD player. If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician, as back cover has to be opened for further investigation.

Hi, when I plug my headphones in my acer aspire one I can hear music but the voices are really low and fuzzy what could it be?

Have you checked your headphones on another device? Could it be the headphones? You can check the sound devices on the control panel. Click advanced on speaker settings and make sure that your speaker type is correct for your particular computer setup, then click the performance tabe and make sure the hardware accelloration and sample rate conversion quality are both set all the way to the right (full and best).

Also on the audio tab, make sure that the correct sound card device is selected as your default device. You can find out what sound card device you have by going to device manager, by going to either computer, right click, select properties, hardware tab, click on device manager, open devices, look for sound, video and game controllers. See what sound device is listed there. That should be your sound card.

These suggestions should help you find the source of your problem. Please remember to leave positive feedback if you found this helpful.

Thank You,

Windows media player not working

If you can't Find the Driver For your card, it is HERE.

This Solution would only help you if you're running Windows: XP or 2000...
As the Driver I found, ONLY, Supports WinXP or 2000.

You can try this:
Go to your Device manager, and Double-click [-Sound, video, and Game controllers-

Then: See if your sound card is listed in that category. (If there is an exclamation point or anything under that listing, then reply back with what DEVICE it lists it for.

If there is one.. [an ("!"),] and you are sure that it's shown specifically for your sound-card device, then I would Suggest that you uninstall it. [Right-Click on the Device>Uninstall.]

AND Download the driver FOUND above, and iNSTALL that, and then Reply Back with your results..

I Hope this helps a little..

I have recently connected internet service at home but due to virus or something i cannot hear the sound on the computer anymore. i have selected service of 29.99 a month without a payable of $5 for virus....

First thing I would do is run a free virus scan from Trend Micro called House Call.. It takes a while but is quite thorough.. Once complete and you find and eradicate any viruses, then you can investigate the sound problem.. Normally, the first thing I suggest you verify is that your sound volume isn't set to Mute of very low.. You can check that by selecting the START button, then CONTROL PANEL, then SOUND and AUDIO Device tab.. once there..youhave a number of options to do,... first off.. check speaker volume and make sure they are set to at least the midpoint and the mute box isn't checked. If that doesn't work..then chose the hardware tab and scroll thru the list until you find your sound device..If you highlight it, then select properties.. it will tell you if the device is working properly.. You can also select the Driver tab and update the drivers or roll them back .. These are a few things to try.. I would strongly encourage you to protect yourself by installing an antivirus program... There are many available but it is wise to have one.. Good luck..and I hope this helps you get your system going again..

Headphone Jack

Unfortunately these units are designed to output to either the speakers or the headphones. There are devices available on the market that will take the output from the tape-out jacks and transmit it to a wireless headphone. I would suggest that you investigate this. That would also eliminate any wires stretching from the equipment.

Search the web for "assistive listening" devices.

Before going to any shops, here is a suggestion that can't hurt anything.
Go to the Control Panel and click on Sounds and Audio Devices. On the Volume tab at the bottom, you will see "Speaker Settings". Click on the Advanced button. Change that setting to "Stereo headphones". You should hear the sound only through the headphones then.
