When i try to down load music it does not allow me to

What is hindering you from downloading music? What OS are you running (Windows, Mac, etc), what app are you using to download (web page, iTunes, etc), what happens when you try to download (contents of an error message would be helpful), and what else seems to be wrong?

I tried to download the latest version of itunes but for someone it wouldnt download and now my old itunes doesnt work either. When I click on itunes to open it up, a message box pops up reading...

It sounds like the download removed the existing software.

I would open control panel, then click add or remove programs, then click on itunes. see if there is a repair option with the installer. sometimes there is, but if not, then uninstall it, but keep your saved files.

Then re-install it, and when it sets up, it should still accept your old saved files. That way you don't have to recopy you music, games or videos

The 'error 2" is saying that when you clicked on the icon, there was no file remaining in your system that matched what the program was that was assigned to that icon.

You can find out what the program was, and its location by right clicking on the icon, and then click on properties.

Itunes download

If you can download CCleaner then run that program and then try to download iTunes. If that doesn't work after, then you may have to fix the registry for any issues there.
