The display screen on my DSC-T1 shows a perfect, clear picture when the memory stick from another Sony camera is inserted and a photo is selected. But when the camera is switched to exposure mode, the screen is blurred badly, with basically vertical streaks and lines of the image being focused on. If the shutter is tripped, that blurred image is the result. One clerk in a photo store says he thinks the sensor is at fault, because the screen will show a good picture from a stick coming from a different camera. Bob Thurgood 425-485-4416

The lens won't turn on, in other words, you can't see anything on the display. The camera is fully charged and I was even able to retrieve pictures by connecting it to my computer and transferring all the pictures to my HD.

Someone accidently held a magnet over my old Sony DSC-T1 it no longer has an ability to take pictures. Just a blank screen. The old photos are still on the memory card I tried replacing the memory card and that is not the problem. It was a small magnet for a board. The screen still works in terms of being able to review the old photos, but when the door is slid down and the camera turned on, there is no live image.
