New W705 Sony Ericsson phone. Trying to bluetooth to hands free car kit but no nothing happening.bluetoothing to another phone but picked up nothing. do you know why? followed instructions in manual but nothing.

Try holding down the big Nokia button for ten seconds till it bleeps, then search on your phone until the phone finds a CK-7W, the passcode is 0000

Have you tried 0000
Most default bluetooth passkeys are usually set as that.
I have also found the manual for this and it mentions the same passkey:

I am having the exact same problem with my vauxhall corsa and my pioneer deh-6000ub its so annoying it works with the manufacture stereo soon as i connect my pioneer in it doesn't come alive (the HCB-400)

According to the handbook, it is 1234

It depends on your new phone, check with sony ericsson to see if there is a new cradle.

go to sony ericsson web site and you can down load the user mannual

Reset the Sony Ericcson to Factory settings, by using last option on the phone settings .

Then try pairing again, if it still does not work may be incompatible with the car kit.

The solution was quite simple. Always give your new hands free kits the full charge before trying to use it. I never thought it would make that much of a difference but it obviously does. I feel terrible about all the hands free kits i have taken back as faulty.

In bluetooth settings make your phone "discoverable". This should solve the problem.
