Question about Canon PIXMA MP830 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Upon changing the cartridges when empty, the large black ink cartridge causes errors such as U071 - "more than one ink tank of the following installed", and U150 - "the following tank cannot be recognized". Canon's solution is to replace ALL the cartridges with fresh ones. They are sending me a set for free. It appears to be a manufacturing problem with certain batches of their cartridges at this time. If the new set of cartridges does not fix the problem long term, I will inform them and ask for a new printer - or my money back.
1. Just open and close the cover a bid, this will initiate new checking of all ink cartridges
2. clean the contacts of the inkcartridge chip e.g. with spirit
3. Press the reset/stop-button for >10s to quit the error ... but be aware that the ink level will no longer shon correctly
