Problem for Dell Latitude D620 (D620SINGLE) PC Notebook
Bios won't load when attached
Bios won't load when attached to D-Dock. Will load when not attached. Ran diagnostics when not attached and the the 3rd cache is missing. When I press o.k. it restarts and runs fine off the d dock but still won't load all the bios on the d/dock

BIOS never 'loads' BIOS resides on a chip ... it is firmware. The BIOS is the principal of the school. Its job is to take attendance in all the class rooms and run the POST. If all the teachers report and pass their test, BIOS hands the computer to Windows to start. Having said that, I dont understand your question nor the circumstances under which you are having trouble. Pleae clarify for me. thanks

if you have access to another D-Series system, see if it will work on the Dock. If a Known Good System will not post on the dock, the dock is bad. If it does boot, then the Motherboard connector on your D620 is bad and motherboard will need replacement.
