Acer aspire 5520 mouse pointer problem it freezes or moves around the screen by itself

Glad to HELP YOU!

First of all try to clean your touch pad with a SOFT CLOTH gently soaked in a GLASS CLEANER fluid. Make that as good as you can and you will remove all the dirst that may occur during the function of your computer, generating "fake movements" of the cursor.
Second: go to
and disable touch pad or check box to hide cursor while you are typing.

I think by pressing the hot key you have enable the dualmode of the graphics card and the pointer has moved to the otherside so you have to try to bring the curser to extreem left or right .and then right click on the desk top and choose the graphics cards display manager to set the display mode to single and you are done.

Password not working

To boot in Safe Mode, as soon as the computer begins booting tap the F8 key repeatedly.

You should get a menu to choose from.

If there select Safe Mode with networking.

If you can get that far, try System Restore for an earlier date.

If you can't get into safe mode watch as the comp boots and see if it says something like "For Recovery Press <One of the F keys>. Somesystems allow a partial recovery that keeps your documents intact. If you end up doing a full recovery, you lose everything.

Acer zr1

please elaborate on what exactly has happened..
if by mouse pointer jammed u mean touchpad not working
then first check if it has been accidentally disabled, in acer laptops press fn and then a key in blue colour which looks like a mouse pad in the f1-f12 series.
else, try attaching an usb mouse to check if the pointer is moving or if there is a problem wid your touchpad.
if not, it could be because of a virus which has changed ur registry files, in such a case the problem gets a little more complicated where in ull have to restore file, etc etc
for further keep free to mail me @
