Artica and Profiles all fall in the same
category from 22 cubic feet up There
are a few other refrigerators that GE makes that uses the same basic mother board and thermostat controls. There are some that come with manual
thermostats but all are subject to mother board failure due to
something simple like a condenser fan going bad. If a fan stops and starts on these models it will take out the motherboard. If the fan is not replaced if that was the reason for the first board the the new mother board will also be damaged. Here is a site that will focus on the models with a test
technical sheet and a link to the service manual. The manual does not mention the 26.5 cu. ft. but it's the same parts
just bigger. Some mother boards are a little different due to the
different features on the refrigerator. These models need a good surge
protector on the outlet where its plugged in. A small surge in power gets the board also. Some people call them
Muthaboards for that reason. Here is the page=>
