Question about Pyramid 403G 7-Band Car Equalizer

Wiring to radio that has front/rear output

When wiring my 403g do I need to put both sets of negative wires together and both sets of positive wires together off the radio itself before attaching to input wires for 403g? or do I only use one of each off front or rear?

Hi i trying to figure out how to wire up my rca's i have a pionner deck in on the back of it it has front output, rear output, sub output ,and also a audio output .now im trying to up it to a clarion eq that...

The "Front output" from the Pioneer deck would connect to the "Main In" on the Clarion EQ. I'm assuming that your Clarion EQ can only deal with one input, and will send the adjusted (equalized) signal out both of the outputs.
The "Front output" from the Clarion EQ should go to the "Front Input" on the 4 channel amp.
The "Rear output" from the Clarion EQ should go to the "Rear Input" on the 4 channel amp.
The "Sub output" from the Pioneer deck would connect to the Left/Right Input on the Epicenter. The Left/Right Output on the Epicenter would need a Y-splitter for each side, so that you could connect each amp separately. One suggestion would be to use one sub amp for both subs.

The low frequencies adjustment is not working when i turn the sub frequency on low it lowers the volume of the bass completely

check the rca cables on the back to see if you might have the sub woofer cable in wrong rca spot

this is how it should be wired from your radio front output a set of rca cables go to the radio input of the eq. if you have sub out on radio it will not be used ... eq takes place of it ... turn off subout on radio ... to use eq or preamp you must have at 2 amps 1 for mids and tweets and 1 for subs to work eq right

then from the eq you have another set of rca cables comming from the front output to your mids and tweet amp and then if you dont have a second amp u wont need rear output move over to the suboutput and run a set of rca cables from eq's sub output to sub amp this is how the audio cable section should be connected if you still dont get it to work proper then then it has a electronic issue and need to warranted out if still in warranty or buy new one .... here is a link to the install manual with a wire diagram for repair shop .....

What is source ground on an equalizer

Ground Source, not the other way around. It is a metallic place, interconnected to the vehicle chassis, where the electricity will flow from positive to negative. Best bet is to connect your equalizer black ground wire to the radio black ground wire, since it has already been bolted to a good ground. Furthermore, grounding it to radio, will prevent any humming between the two units.

take two out puts from your cd player and run them in the inputs of the equalizer and believe me they are going to work.Remember if the outputs from your CD player are of high note (out put)the volume should be kept at minimal to avoid the rumble.

No sound.

As you have indicated there is no sound at all in the out-puts available. What this could probably mean the out put ic is dead.Another thing to remember is to connect the red positive wire to the standby wire which is mostly yellow in color.
