I get an error message of F6

Hi,

Yes you have a motor fault and need to replace the motor. This is a difficult job. You need to remove the back panel of the washer to access the motor.The motor is the only thing that will draw enough amps to flip the breaker when it shorts out. The motor probably over heat closer to the end of the cycle and shuts down. Yes motor usually last allot long but sometimes they just fail early.
