what is the carberator adjustment on the two knobs? just under the phillips screw (idle adjustment) there are two small knobs that I have messed with to get it running better. From full in how many turns out should it be on both. What are they? low end?
Jerry the EPA has asked me if I know where your shop is located. They have a few things they would like to discuss with you.

They said they were bringing the IRS to drive the point home. Never mind they remembered they can get anything they need from FixYa.com.

- Starting point for both H & L screws 1.5 turns CCW from lightly seated. To lean will cause piston and cylinder failure.

- CW is leaner, CCW richer.

- The L needle controls how smoothly it runs at low speed and how it accelerates to full throttle. The H needle controls how well it performs at speed and should be set for cut performance not best sound with no load. All adjustments are made using a fresh fuel mix at a proper fuel/oil ratio (I recommend 50:1 = 1 gal super not regular gas to 2.6 oz quality 2 cycle engine oil),at the elevation it will be used, and a clean air filter, with the bar and chain installed and properly tensioned. The T screw is throttle or idle speed. HTH Lou
hello sir,, now there are two types of carb.adjustment screw covers, the old one where there are plastic over the screws, simple remove the plastic covers with a pair of needle nose pliers or cutting off,,,second are the new ones that are above the adjustment screws, which you have to take your drummel tool with the cutting blade and cut slots in the screws, after you get this done it is important to count the number of rotations in until stops make note how many. because you are going to reset the same way.now remove the screws, put a side when you get ready to put screws in put in all the way than back out as many turns that you noted, now that is factory set there should only be a small adjustment to do. hope this helps,,

The model is in bits and I need to assemble it and require the procedure. All the parts are with me. It had been taken apart to find a problem which in the end wasn't there and was handed back to me due to circumstance at the time.
