Need driver: Multimedia Audio Controller

The sound doesn't work at all. What is odd, the Legecy sound card is updated with the latest of drivers.

In Device Manager, the yellow "!" is on "other devices" not under 'Sound and Other Audio'

a quick google search found other tech sup sites with an answer from Dell about its machine, does that make it a Intel issue?

Multimedia audio controller of xp is missing

You need to installyour computer or sound card audio driveror restore it to the point where sound is audible on your computer.. To restoreyour os or drivers to its original state, you need to click on ( start ). Thenclick on ( All Programs ). Then click on ( accessories ).Then click on ( systemtools ). Then click on ( system restore). And the last thing you'll do is to select a recently saved restore point ofwith you think everything is working properly. If this did not work, try todownload your sound driver to your sound card or motherboard to it'smanufacturers web site. Or you could buy Driver magician , driver magician willsearch and detect all the driver that your computer needs. All you got to do isto select them and then by clicking on download, driver magician willautomatically search the internet and download it for you. Have a nice dayfriend. Hope this would help you much. Have a nice day and hoping this would have good effect on your computer.

Do not have sound

Hello! kindly follow this steps below:

Please find your motherboard or sound card driver then insert it in your disk in the CD/DVD ROM if it is in a disk then run the setup.exe of that driver software then follow certain steps given by the computer installation wizard. Then after you finished the installation restart your computer then if the sound is restored then you have a successful sound card installation. You can do this steps again if you encounter same problem next time. The reason why this you receive this error message cause your sound driver has been corrupt and need to reinstall due to some hardware failure and software failure especially if their are virus and worms enter in your system.

Also try to update and install anti virus and update it in order to protect and level up your security against virus, worms and hackers.

If you need more assistance please reply to this post.

thank you

Install the driver

You may be prompted to provide the path of the driver. Windows may have the driver built-in. If you are asked for the driver and you do not have it, you can try to download the latest driver from the hardware vendor’s Web site.

In the device Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver to start the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the instructions to install the driver.
