- If you cannot align the convergence on the menu due o skewed lines, one or both of the two convergence chips that your set uses is bad. They need to be replaced. You may need the service of a qualified technician to do it. Just post it here if you cannot adjust the convergence on the menu to give you further instructions in replacing the chips.

Panasonic PT-47WX53 53" projection TV TV shut down with 3 blinks.I replaced one resistor and both I/C chips and TV turned on and stayed on for about 5 minutes and at convergence set up on TV, screen started bouncing and TV again shut down. I then replaced all the back resistors and TV turned on and again shut down with 1 blink. I replaced remaining resistors on front I/C with no luck. SD Tech had me to unsoder I/C and TV turns on and stays on. He had me to install two more new I/C. Still no luck. I have replaced all resistors and convergence chips two times. with chips sodered TV can be turned on with light box on table with remote but shuts down in a few seconds. When I unsoder the I/C chips TV will turn on and stay on until I turn it off with remote. This is the same thing that happened with first set of I/C chips. SD Tech has been very helpful. Can He or anyone else help solve this problem.
