Veho 35mm slide scanner

I have purchased a Veho 35mm slide and film scanner. It is now installed with all the relevant drivers, programmes etc. Using Photoimpression 6 (which is the software supplied with it) I can acquire an image of my slide but I cannot copy it either by using the snapshot option in the software or by pressing the copy button on the scanner itself. Error box comes up that says image data cannot be obtained (or something very like this). Been through all the possible solutions including downloading updated driver from Veho website. Any ideas please? Thanks a lot

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: OVT scanner does not calibrate nor allow "acquire picture"

I had a similar problem. Driver of scanner was ok.
Went to configuration->device manager-> in list checked the USB controllers and updated the Enhanced usb2 controller. Reboot and re-install de scanner driver. Most likely this will solve your problem

regards, Andre

Hi there Robert!

Go to this site and download the "Download Centre"

That program will check your Veho 35mm film scanner for newer drivers, pathecs and updates.

Lide 600 film scanner. How does one secure the transparency in the scanner? I can find no slots, grooves, channels in which to slide them.

The scanner comes with a film adapter unit that holds the 35mm film strip. It compensates for the fhinness of the film strip.
You'll have to contact Canon support if you need to purchase one or make a mask using thick paper or a tranparency sheet and attach your film strip with drafting tape (it does not stick aggressively and removes easily.
You might also check with a local scanner repair shop for a used adapter.
Wish the solution was easier.

No option to scan Film Negatives

In order to see these options, you must have the Film Adapter Unit (FAU) attached to the scanner. The FAU is designed to scan in 35mm film, either positive or negative. The scanner has no options to scan in mounted 35mm slides.

Does the scanner work for scanning at all? If not, you may have a communication problem between the computer and the scanner, i.e., the computer doesn't know how the scanner is configured so it doesn't show the options. If it's a communication problem, check for any other USB devices that might interfere with communication. Especially, some printers seem to take over communications. Try disconnecting all other USB devices (except keyboard, mouse, etc.), reboot, and see if the situation corrects itself.

Also, try the online troubleshooting database for this model at this link.

Scanned 35mm slide comes out as rectangle with dark edges

I've not ever seen "square" 35mm slides. By definition they are a rectangular positive film in an outer square "mount".

If you have a truly square piece of film then it is not a 35mm slide. You may have to use settings other than those for a 35mm film but these would be I don't know.

When were they taken (approximately)? What brand of film? Are they in a cardboard "mount?
