Veho 35mm slide scanner

I have purchased a Veho 35mm slide and film scanner. It is now installed with all the relevant drivers, programmes etc. Using Photoimpression 6 (which is the software supplied with it) I can acquire an image of my slide but I cannot copy it either by using the snapshot option in the software or by pressing the copy button on the scanner itself. Error box comes up that says image data cannot be obtained (or something very like this). Been through all the possible solutions including downloading updated driver from Veho website. Any ideas please?
