Re: no signal

This is most likely a problem with your graphics card. do you have an integrated or an add-on video card?

Computer won't boot

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

Got a screen message that fan is not working. Now when I turn on the computer it just beeps at me. What do I need to do to solve this problem?

Open cover and switch it on, check if fans turn (assume CPU fan), if not switch it off and remove from mains, replace faulty fan or clean the fan with a small brush and vacuum cleaner might be clogged with dust. If this fails check bios settings for CPU temperature and adjust accordingly, do not exceed recommended CPU temperature, or CPU will overheat and eventually be destroyed.

Computer shuts down and beeps due to over heating and bios shuts down machine as a precaution.

Desktop will shutdown as Windows XP screen comes up. Shuts down while trying to load into all safe modes. The computer is a custom built computer, and I have cleaned the inside of dust, and tried to...

I would start out by getting a power supply tester (which can be picked up fairly cheaply on Ebay) and checking out your power supply. If it is anything deeper than that, I would look into having a TECH look at it since it could possibly be a ground in the motherboard. You may also want to check and make sure that any expansion cards (memory, video) are seated correctly. If you don't have any expansion cards, it may be your onboard video going bad.

When I shut down my computer, I think that it is shutting down completly. All lights are off indicating that it is shut down. Then a small blue window will appear and will say "Entering Power Safe Mode"....

If you are turning off your computer by pressing the front panel power button, it is probably just putting Windows to sleep but not shutting the computer off. If your computer has Windows Vista, the default is to hibernate and not shut down even if you shut down through Vista. The "power save" message you see is coming from the monitor, which is letting you know it isn't getting a signal from the computer anymore but the power is still on. Windows will start up again from sleep mode if someone or something moves the mouse or presses a key.

The solution is to make sure the computer is actually shut down. In Vista you can do this by clicking the arrow near the power icon on the Start menu. This gives you the option of shutting down instead of hibernating. In XP, shut the computer down using the start menu shutdown option instead of the computer power button. Then the power will shut down completely.

No Signal

no signal mean that vga signal from cpu is not coming to it or may be this is a cable breakage relavant to signal from cpu.
2ndly, the matter of computer shuts down is out of sense because this kind of problem doent happens at this case.
check ur vga card, if it is seperately installed on motherboard.
the other thing that u can do is that;

unplug all the cables of data relavant to hdd, cd, dvd and anyothers and then switch on ur pc. hope it should work if anything is not wrong with the motherboad and ram, including vga
