No power to control panel after power surge

Hi, Our dishwasher worked fine until today. I tried to use it and there is no power to the control panel. I push Auto Clean, and nothing happens, no lights turn on when I press any of the push pad. We had a power outage yesterday, however this is not the first one that we've had. I checked the breaker and it is fine. Any idesa? Thanks Last week it wouldn't completely drain. Resolved that problem pushed the dishwasher back into its space and now I have power in all the wiring but nothing will light up on the door panel.

I now have the same problem only there was no power surge. Power to outlet is good but the control panel is completely dead. Is there a fuse or internal breaker on this thing somewhere?

I have the same problem except for the drainage. I suspect that the timer has died, but don't know. I"d appreciate some help. Tks

for some reason after taking panel off and poking around then putting back together again then waiting 20 minutes..it started working! I suspect there is moisture building up on the electronics somewhere behind the door panel. I have had some unusual behavior ever since the recall repair to the door panel...should never have let them "fix" it.

1. No power to the dishwasherMake sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

Dishwasher not working, no lights on control panel

If your good with electricity get a meter and with the unit unplugged check the resistance across the thermal switch... it should be 0.0 ohms(omega symbol) if a thermal switch is blown it will be open. and read unlimited ohms... I doubt if it is the thermal switch. Check first if you have voltage to the control board you should have lights on it. If no light then probably The door interlock switch has failed,, that is the first thing that I would suspect as I had that happen on one of my units... figure out how to bypass it or operate it.

No Power, No Lights on MDB7100AWQ

HI, there are four problem spots that i recommend checking. these are the most common hot spots for a non responsive dishwasher. Check each area thoroughly to address this issue.

There is a thermal fuse on the controller that commonly goes out. If you take apart the panel, and see the computer part, there is usually a part clipped on the side with 2 wires on it. When that goes out, it acts like there is no power to the unit. Very easy and in-exspensive to replace if that's it. It's pretty common on those. Good luck

Maytag dishwasher, no power, then flashing lights, now no power.

Had the same problem, removed the kick panel to find a set of instructions under the insulation, had to push a sequence of the panel buttons, its been running great for a couple of weeks now!

No power to control panel after power surge

Try turning the curcuit breaker off for a few minutes. Turn it back on and see if it resets itself. If not, the outage may have shorted out the main control panel.
