My Toshiba Satellite A105 screen comes on for a little bit, flickers and then shuts off. However I can faintly see the screen, and the laptop works fine when hooked up to the external monitor. Wondering what the problem is ? Is it the inverter, backlight or the whole screen ?

- Thanks for the info. So how do you suggest I proceed ? Should I start with the backlight first, then the inverter and if nothing works then the CFL. WOndering how much a CFL will cost. I'm seeing a wide range for A105 CFLs ranging from $70 to $200. What is more accurate. Thanks, JackNov 09, 2009
