When my son puts a game in his nintendo ds and turns it on the bottom screen gives the following message "Looking for software available for download" It will not let him play anything.

Ahhhhhhh...
ok when you put the game in and turn it on make sure that you are are tapping the game button and NOT were it sais DS download play (below the game icon when you turn it on. if you haven't calibrated your ds any time soon or at all, then it may be that it looks like you are clicking on the game icon but you are not.
