Device error I cannot open or use this player. I get an I/O device error

Try fommating it from the might work. if i dosent you should go back to the shop you bought it from and they might be able to do something about it..

System files are missing

3. After upgrading the New Firmware, please check the firmware version before playing device.
** Setting -> Advanced -> System information **

My player displays a message

Connect player to pc and power, restart player while holding the volume + key, as soon as the player shuts off, press and hold the volume - key, your device manager will pop up and tell you the player needs repair, let it do so.

Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager: - change your country/language as needed
Enter in your exact model #
Click on the link for your exact model #
Click on the Software & Drivers section
Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
Install the new Device Manager
Open and run the "Repair" tab

Open Philips Device Manager.

Reset player using reset button at base of player.

Press and hold [PLAY / PAUSE] button whilst connecting to the PC.

Device Manager should show error with device.

Follow the on-screen prompts to repair the player.

Transcend T sonic 610 showed format error when switched on

Plug the device into the computer open the device port that it's pluged into and delete everything that you downloaded onto it and then retry to download the supported format that the device supports.

ERROR CODE 82040100 SOLUTION: here's what I did to solve this problem: -update walkman's firmware to latest version (3.0) -control panel > system > hardware > device manager uninstall the driver for the walkman (remove device) -now connect player can initialize the player again, but I installed Sonicstage CP 4 which is much better anyway.
