Re: HP vp6162 projector spots on projected image

You may have touched the bulb while changing it and minute traces of skin oil are on the actual bulb, with the machine cold, try and very carefully clean the bulb

Vivtek d510 projector has black and white spots covering 1/3 of projected image

The DLP Chip is failing .The DLP or Digital Light Projection Chip contains up to 8 million tiny microscopic mirrors that tilt to project a digital image onto the screen. These mirrors are failing causing light and dark spots to appear.Unfortunately fixing this projector is probably going to cost more than buying a new one. Hope this helps.

White spots on screen i have changed the lamp

It's probably you have a busted DMD chip, have your technician replace that, better yet buy a new projector because replacing that chip costs almost a brand new unit.

Im using sanyo pdg-dsu21b model. right now, my projector has this little white bright spot all over the projection. can anyone please tell me whats the problem with my projector and what is the solution...

Unplug you projector and allow the bulb to cool. Open the area where the projector bulb is located. Check the projector lens for any damage and clean it from dirt's and dust. Same as with the bulb.

Projected image is blurry, mostly at the top of half. Weird. Tried another laptop. Although that one was slightly clearer, the top of the image was still blury.

Clean the lens on the front, turn on the projector and wait for it to heat up, then turn the plastic ring on the front to change your focus. computer image can't be made blurry because of software. Blurriness is always something to do with the lens.

There is a large dark spot in the lower center portion of the projection area, I have cleaned the external lense and changed the bulb but the dark image remains.

if the spot is circular, check the lamp itself. if it has a flatter edge, chances are your light tunnel has collapsed and needs replaceing. it's not that old, so dell might repair it. but they might replace the entire optical engine, as they may not sell individual parts.

LCD projector spots showing up on the screen

there are light filters behind each lcd panel that determine the color of light going through it. because of excessive heat and dust, the filter tends to burn and cause discoloration in the image. if the image is bluish (cyan), the red filter is burning. if it's yellow, the blue is burning. if it's purplish (magenta), the green is burning. the filters will need to be replaced. unfortunately, many companies don't sell individual parts of the optical engine, so the entire engine might need to be replaced.

This is probably the polarizing filter. It will need to be replaced. It should not cost very much to fix.
