What you see is a protection mode. Change input device to some other like a DVD player. Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry. If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician.
The code for a universal remote, I used a Sky + remote is 1936. Switch tv on and not in standby, press Tv button on remove, press select and red button for 5 secs until you see the IR button flash twice. Enter 1936 code, the IR will flash again twice. Done. Test using remote on/ off button. This works for MATSUI TVR185 TS. If there is a PIN code, reset holding vol - on tv and holding number 7 on remote at same time. You will see a PIN OK message on screen.
The installer code is 3477, switch off the tv and unplug from the mains and leave for at least 30 minutes before trying this when you switch on your tv it will ask you for a pin code - use the installer code and it works just fine :)
remove the load (subwoofer)...
ensure the power and remote have 12V (remotoe only when the car is on)....
And make sure the ground is a good one - sanded and screwed.
If you now turn on the car, and the red light for protection still stays on, your problem is internal, and it will need to be serviced. This is not something that you can crack open and fix, as there are lethal amounts of stored energy in the power supply and capacitors.
If the light goes on, youe sub(s) is/are at fault. Check the impedence with a multimeter set to OHMs and read the voicecoil. It should read pretty near to 4 or 8 ohms.
But since your amp is the only piece new to the equasion, chances are the problem lies within the amplifier.
It either has fried components, or your subwoofer(s) are wired to a low enough impedence that your amplifier does not like.
With more info... model #s voicecoil configurations I can help you better. I will c/p an answer I wrote recently regarding amplifier failure.
Have just read up on this. It seems you have to hold the - volume on the front of the TV at the same time as the no 7 on the remote for 5 secs to reset the PIN number.
Try pressing the small reset button on the back, it works, and you will not loose any stored information which caused the unit to go in the stand by mode.

Have you tried turning it off for an hour and then turning it back on. This happens to me quite often and leaving it off for a while ususally allows it to come back on. Also have you tried to press the TV/AV button on the remote as sometimes it switches to TV mode when its on standby and then standby won't work as its on TV mode and needs to go back on to AV mode. Basically just press the AV button on the digibox remote and then try standby.

if the batteries are removed and left for about 20 minutes before being replaced again, everything works as it should.

if any of the above suggestions does not work then you have to open the unit and on the main board of the tv there is a thin mini tube light like component called fuse you will have to replace that fuse .the fuse is very very cheap and you can easily get it at any electronics shop.and if still the unit does not work then there is a major fault in the power supply board and should be taken to the service center for diagnosing the fault that it is repairable or not.but i hope the above information provided will definately help you to solve your problem.
I bought the Matsui VX1107A many years ago and recently pulled it out of storage for use in the childs bedroom. I unluckily put the pin in it three times which were incorrect, only to see Protected across the screen. I then trawled internet sites as I certainly wasn't going to part with my hard earned money to MasterCare for them to come and reset it. Then I came across a site that told me to pull the plug out the wall for an hour then plug it back in, then switch the vcr on then press the up arrow and the record buttons together at the same time for 5 or so seconds, then hurray it was unlocked but not set back to factory settings so I got another 3 try's of entering my pin again which i got correct, so if you know the pin then you can try this. Failing that I have the manual which came with the vcr if you tell me the section your looking for I'll scan and send the part to yourself but you would have to send an email address to send the document. Hope this helps Robert
