Re: espresso maker not workin properly

Your Brew Head screen and/or filter basket might be clogged with coffee oils. You can soak both pieces in a product that removes coffee oils from either or Dezcal brand. Coffee shops will do this once a day. If you have the filter basket with the screw in the middle, you will need to remove the screw and soak everything as it can clog also.
If that does not work (it should tho) you can contact the Briel service center at:
41 Woodbine St
Bergenfield NJ 07621
phone 201-439-1700
fax 201-439-1701

This issue can happen if the site inlet water pressure falls below 1 bar. The boiler fills but as you draw drinks it won't refill.
Do you service the machine ever and replace the water filter? Limescale build up may be another reason you are experiencing problems.

Filter change

this was absolutely the problem with my Jura Capressa E-8 machine. I followed instructions after changing the filter. I opened tap-machine stated that it was filling system- I closed tap when instruction. The open tap remained on because no water was filling system. I took the frother tip off and opened tap. Water filled system (container under frother). I closed tap without the frother tip. Machine Ready.... (I heated water in microwave for three minutes) I placed the frother tip in there and used a wooden skewer to ensure frother was clear of debris... Worked like a charm!

Need more info here - however the frother requires steam to work - therefore the boiler must be working properly else you will not get either hot water or steam.

Suggest you get a service call on this one as it a built in type - from memory the Meile is really a Saeco rebadged in a defferent case.

Frother not working

Unscrew the plastic frother head and make sure that the plastic and the metal ends aren't blocked. Run a descaling solution through the machine.

All water directed to Frother/ Water nozzle on Impressa C%

The Multivalve seems to be stuck. When you start up the machine you should hear the multivalve turning 2 times, if it`s silent, the valve is defective. This valve is important to guide the water in the right direction. Contact your servicedealer and let them have a look. There`s also a small chance that the electronic board are sending wrong or no signals to the valve

No steam comes to milk frother

Try this: 1. Pour in vinegar instead of water. 2. Bring vinegar to a boil but do not run it through the machine. 3. Turn off machine for about an hour. 4. Remove sheath from the frother and clean the metal tip. 5. Place tip of frother into large mug of cold water. 6. Turn espresso machine on and allow vinegar to run through frother. 7. You'll know the frother is clear when the water in the mug begins to churn rapidly (and perhaps loudly).
It may take the vinegar a little while to dissolve and loosen the blockage. If the process does not work the first time time, try again later and allow the warm vinegar to sit in the machine longer.

Optional: Before starting the process, unbend a paperclip or thin metal hook (the kind used for hanging holiday ornaments) and use it to clear the steamer orifice.
To keep frother clear: Follow recommended descaling schedule in user manual
