Re: nintendo ds lite

It sounds like the screen has bust or summit for starters if you have the warranty or gurante send it back what ever you do dont open it yourself if you have either one as the ds has a seal wich if broke nintendo wont fix it and the shop wont take it back if no luck there then you can buy lcd screens they are pretty cheap but its best if you get someone else to put it in if not do it yourself but you need a special the pointed screwdriver it cost aroun 3 pound

My nintendo lite wont turn on-the green lite is on but thats all-

Which LCD is blinking?

If your top screen is blinking before cutting off, your DS lite has a problem with the bottom screen.

If the bottom screen blinks before cutting off, your DS lite has a problem with the top screen.

Can you confirm?

Nintendo DS Lite Problem

That sounds like your DS lite have a lose circuit part rolling inside so thats why it cant turn on.

You need to open the console, recover the lose part from the inside and resolder it in its place (usually near the power switch, marked as L2). That should fix the problem, if not then you might have blown fuses, lose screens ribbon cables or broken LCD screens. All of these repairs are discussed in other questions here.

RE:nintendo DS lite power light comes on but both screens stay dark?solution

This is a problem with the cpu on the systemboard. I've seen this problem many times if the DS Lite is felt to the ground. The contacts of the cpu are very fragile. The DS Lite turns on, green led available, even charche is working bot nothing else. Repair of this problem is almost impossible. The only thing you can do is send it to Nintendo.

You can test if it is the cpu by removing the bottom of the DS Lite and put the battery on te contacts.
Press firmly on slot 1 (the aluminium cover) and turn the DS Lite on. If you got a picture on the screens then you know it for sure. The cpu is located under slot 1 and by pressing on de top of the slot you are pressing possible loose contacts back on de systemboard.

If it is not working then the cpu is to musch damaged.

Let us know what you've found with this solution.
