Most likely cause could be a blown power amp IC. The part number is STK402-040.

You have a blown amplifier IC in the stereo that must be replaced, that is what causes the protect error on the display. It is a good idea to take it to a repair center and have them do it if you are willing to spend about $125 to $150, depending on the rates of the shop, to have it repaired. Otherwise, you will just need to get a new one. There is no other way to fix this problem without replacing the amp IC.
Sorry for the bad news, I wish I could have given you an easy fix, but there just isn't one for this problem.
