my microphone has a clock lookin thing inside and its loose and the microphone has a crappy sound quality now how much will it cost to get it repaired like if it was new
well the clock looking thing is called a potenciometer or a variable resistor which controlls the input volume to your computer, so if it is all the way up it will cause distortion AKA "crappy sound" if it is mounted to a PC board and isw loose you can go to your local radio shack and pickup a soldering iron and rosin core solder and solder it back in or if the variable resistor is broken they will have a replacement that you can re-solder in. if everything is in place and not broke then just get a small flat head screw driver and talk into the mic while you adjust the resistor until it sounds crisp and clear......... i hope this helps if any questions email me at elcaminokid"at"autorotika"dot"com

My Blue Snowball Microphone doesn't shop up in the input under microphones and/or recording. Its USB, and used to work. When I plug it in too no message displays that a USB device has been plugged in. Their all good cables, already checked those with other devices.
