The problem beleive it or not is that the bake ignitor is weak ,and it is not drawing the proper amprage to open the gas valve. If you have a amp meter access the wires to the bake ignitor(usually behind the storage drawer) and check for 3.3-3.6 amps when oven is set to bake by clamping the meter around ONE wire wire of ignitor make sure only one wire, either one and not both. if amp draw less than 3.3-3.6 amps replace bake ignitor. I know it seems improbable that if the ignotor comes on that it could be the problem.Professional appliance technicians who would charge a average of $250.00 to repair your oven, have found when the ignitor comes on yet the oven won't heat that a weak ignitor is the cause 100% of the time
Obviously it does not work fine. The thermostat sensor or the stat itself could be an issue. Can you see the sensor 'bulb'? Clean it with oven degreaser and steelwool. What is the temp in the oven with a 'oven thermometer'? Is this consistent with the oven readout?
Having a problem with the stove on this Jenn Air svd48600b.
Often with the oven warms up to 350F it starts beeping at and shuts off.
It flashes either just an FC error code, or FC and F5.
It is often possible to get the oven to work again if you wait 10-15min and cycle the power.
I imagine something is wrong with a heat sensor? The temperature sensor
responsible for displaying temperature on the control panel seems fine
though.
One other detail, even when the oven doesn't shut off at hot
temperatures, the fan comes on (at around 220F) and stays on for over an hour after the
oven is turned off.
Does anyone know if there is a different temperature sensor that might
cause this? Is there a specific electronics board that may be leading
to this problem.
when it heats up.
I have the exact same problem with an F5 fault code. I also have a new clock assembly. RepairClinic.com said "Jenn Air fault code F5 = Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree / Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC)
Jenn Air Fault code for newer models F5 = Power to element relays disabled in cook mode 1. Intermittent oven temperature sensor or wire harness or, 2. Intermittent contact on power relay board" This doesn't help since it is too technical. What should I do next?
I have a jenn air SVE47600F.It just started beeping and giving a code 7.None of the controls work when it brings the code up,but controls work fine when code is not there. We have to turn the breaker off to reset it.Sometimes when we have been gone all day we'll come home and the range will be beeping and flashing a code 7
