I have a reddy heater RLP35. When I plug it in and turn on the gas, hold in the orifice button and push the striker the unit lights and I hold the orifice button down for a minute or two, but when I let go of the orifice button the flame goes out. I cleaned out the inside of the unit like the manual said. It didn't make any difference. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance for the help. kboyd63389@yahoo.com
Change out the thermocouple, this will take care of the pilot problem. Very easy to take out and change. This is what keeps the pilot on and when it fails, no pilot. Sincerely, Shastalaker7

Propane tank was almost empty and when the heater/stove came on, it sounded like air coming in. It made a lot of noise, hissing like. Tank full now and occassionally when the heater lights, there's a big bang. What is it, how do I fix it? I'm afraid of my house blowing up.
