Re: Neil trying to get on the wii shopping channel!

For me the problem was not applying the proper Case (upper or lower case)... passwords & username are case sensitive.

Re: Neil trying to get on the wii shopping channel!

You may receive this error while attempting to link your MyNintendo account to the Wii Store. This comes as a result of non-alphanumeric characters in either your login name or password. To work around this problem, simply remove these characters, apply the changes to your MyNintendo account, and try again. (vie email, thanks Robert)

Error Code: 204038
The Wii console was unable to connect to the Wii Shop Channel.

  • Check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Wii console. To help minimize wireless interference, try the following:
    • Make sure other wireless devices such as cordless phones or wireless speakers are turned off, and that the Wii console is an open area without objects or electronics blocking the signal. (For instance, if the Wii is placed in a crowded entertainment center, try moving the Wii somewhere with more room.)
    • Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area.
  • There could be a temporary network issue with Nintendo's servers. Please wait a few hours and try to access the Internet Channel again.

  • If the above steps did not resolve your issue, please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.

I am trying to download the netflix app on the nintendo wii from the wii shop channel online and I keep getting the error code:204965

There may be a problem with your connection on the Wii. I would try erasing the connection on the Wii and starting over. If that still doesn't work, when is the last time you updated?
The Wii may not be able to use the wireless it has because of the broadcast channel from the router. You would need to go into the routers settings and change the channel to either 1 or 11. The default is usually 6 but that tends to be weak. Retry the connection.

seems you have a conflict with either your Club Nintendo account password, Wii store account or linking your DS membership account. Try Nintendo online help or try to reset the settings and passwords for those accounts.

I have error code 206401 showing,forgotten e-mail or password

Error Code: 206401 This error indicates that the Club Nintendo user name or password is incorrect or invalid.

  • Verify that your Club Nintendo user name and password are being entered correctly.
  • If this is your first time accessing the Wii Shop Channel, verify that you're not hitting "Link" with the fields blank (if you don't have a Club Nintendo membership, you need to select "Do not link").

Cant go to the shopping channel

you know, this have happened to me before, and i know how to fix it.
you require two things to use this channel:
1. you must have a internet connection that works. (wireless, wired, wifi usb connecter)
2. you have to agree to the user agreements.

also don't forget to update your wii. well that's all i can say about it.
