Take the phone to verizon because they're supposed to be able to do that stuff

I have i phone 4 and i went out with it in afternoon and suddenly i saw it was switched off and niw its neither charging nor getting connected to pc its like dead but i did not fall so how to repair it.

Unplug your iPhone from the computer. Press and HOLD both the POWER and HOME buttons for roughly 10 seconds. Release both buttons if you see the Apple logo appear.
Your phone will restart. This is called a hard reset.

If that doesn't work; Plug your phone into your computer and open iTunes.
Press and hold both the HOME and POWER buttons for ten seconds, then let go of only the power button. Continue to hold the home button for 30 seconds. iTunes will recognize your phone and should walk you through getting it back up and running. This is called Recovery/DFU Mode.

If both of those instances fail, I would call Apple Care.

Hey. I was plugged my iPhone into a wall charger. As soon as I plugged it into the dock it vibrated twice then suddenly stopped charging. Then again it vibrated... But only once then it went off....

have you tried holding the power button and the home button on the front together? Anything?

if that doesnt work power up your comp with most recent itunes on it and hold the home button down on the iphone and keep held down while plugging to comp and keep held until a message appears on itunes saying a phone has been detected in recovery mode, then restore your iphone as new.

if your phone is over heating then its a safety issue, see if your still in your years warrenty and if you are give apple a ring they should help you out under your limited warrenty

Phone is stuck in silent mode

Press and hold the pound key (#) until it exits silent mode.

Here is the original text from the manual of the phone:

"Quickly Switching to Silent Mode
Silent mode is convenient when you wish to stop the
phone from making noise, in a theater for example.
In Idle mode, press and hold the "#" key until the “Silent
Mode” message and the Vibration icon display...

To exit and reactivate the previous sound settings, press
and hold the # key again until “Exit Silent Mode” appears.
The Vibration icon no longer displays."

You can also download the pdf file for the phone's manual online by simply googling "Samsung x427m pdf manual."

Hope this helps!

Phone locked on vibrate only

The trick is NOT to use the "settings" menu, but instead press the volume button (on the left side of the phone's body) up, until you get into the "volume" mode and out of the "vibrate only" mode. then you can set the volume however high you want it.

How do i turn my phone to silent mode?

To place the handset in Silent / Vibrate Mode
Step 1
To place the handset in Silent / Vibrate Only Mode, hold down the pound key (#) for about 2 seconds. To exit Silent / Vibrate Mode, perform the same action while in Silent / Vibrate Only Mode. You will see a confirmation message for Silent / Vibrate Only Mode, each time you enter or exit Silent / Vibrate Mode.
The SCH-U470 (Juke) handset will vibrate rather than ring when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in Silent Vibrate Only Mode.
Step 2
While in standby mode, press the volume key, located on the left side of the handset, then select either “Vibrate Only", “Alarm Only” or “All Sounds Off”. To disable perform the same action while in Silent / Vibrate Mode.
The SCH-U470 (Juke) handset will vibrate rather than ring when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in Silent / Vibrate Only Mode.

İPhone not ringing

you can actually move the button , on the top left hand side of your iphone, over the ringer volume, you will see a red or orange dot, this means the switch has you iphone in silent mode, I was stuck on this, until I found it is a actual switch, look at it closely, you can move it. So where you see the red dot, put your finger on it and move it the opposite way, and I do not mean press the button, I mean, flip the switch on it, then your phone will not be in silent mode anymore,,, this was very annoying, I hope it helps anyone that has the same problem.

In vibrate mode, phone continues to vibrate after being answered

The phone is in "vibe then ring" mode.

Go to tools then ring styles using the "-" at the top center of the keypad. It will be set to vibe then ring, press "change" alter the style to vibe, vibe then ring, silent, loud or whatever you like. That is also where you find what ringtone is used for the ring.
