Television shuts off randomly

It is NOT the switch itself. There are many protection circuits inside the set that will shut it down if a problem is detected. Usually the standby light will blink in this case. There is a problem inside that should be checked. If you can describe any other symptoms like any clicks or other noises +/or any lights that may be flashing, we may be able to narrow this down a bit.
