Dishwasher stopped mid programme

Yesterday the programme was set but dishwasher stopped mid programme. I openedthe door and the 2 green indicator lights in the door for 'start' and 'selectedprogramme' were off but then came on and go off as the position of the door ischanged by opening and closing it. There was water in the bottom of thedishwasher. I closed the door and the machine started again water was emptied.

Today I reloaded it and set programme, it filled with water, rinsed, releasedsoap tablet then stopped. The tablet is lying on the bottom of the dishwasher.There is water in the bottom of the dishwasher.
The 2 green indicator lights were off when I opened the door but then came onagain but go off when the door is fully closed.
There must be power or the green indicator lights wouldn't come on at all.
Can you help please? It seems to me like it might be the switch in the door??
