how do i enable the setup configuration in the BIOS ?dell labtop does not allow me to change ANY BIOS settings because this option is "disabled" do i need a passcode/word or can it be bypassed?

Try Hitting F2 instead of F1. Most Dell computers use F2. if you are prompted for a password, you will need to contact Dell for assistance in resetting the password. I think you will need information about the purchase of the PC when it was new. Is there a reason you need into the BIOS?
