Where I plug in the power supply is loose can you

Good technician has to be afraid at his first operation on some unit. :) I have a soldering iron, can use it, but when I play with my laptop I would prefer to know what is where and how to reach, since every laptop, at least brand is different. He needs someone to explain the "know-how". Mine is Acer 5920G, otherwise I gladly would.

Don't mean to offend but if you're scared to open the laptop up then how can you fix it?

Have you any experience with electronics?

It sounds as though the power socket is loose from the main board and would therefore need soldering
