Re: Dyson DC07 loss of suction

Check brush roller is spinning when vacuuming.
Check short clear hose under machine for rips & blockages.

Hi loss of suction on Dyson DC07 and I have changed the belt on the brushbar and cleaned all filters/removeable parts but still suction not very good, any other suggestions?

Check for a clog where the power nozzle connects to the hose. Clogs or leaks in the hose will both cause loss of suction/air flow. Another possibility is broken or worn out fan blades.

Dyson lost suction

I found out that it was the sponge filter bit which needs washing every 6 months in cold water, this sorted it out as I had never cleaned it before

Dyson suction loss

make sure the filters in the bottom are clean, then remove the canister and you will need to clean it thouroughly, pay close attention to the upper section inside where the "cones" come togetheri have read that they are prone to clog up here and lose suction, google dyson suction loss or how to clean a dyson attention to getting the rod that releases the bottom to dump back in the correct place or it will not work right. a few write ups tell about this!

I have a Dyson DC07 and have used the hose but now I can’t get the hose park to click back into place so the hover handle is coming away
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.

Once you hose starts to breakdown there is really nothing you can do other than replacing the hose. This is true on almost every vacuum on the market because they are using in most case the plastic hose and the heat and the product you pickup breaks down the hose and starts to lose its strength and starts to collapse. You may want to check with your local vac dealer to see if he has a new one or a good used one for ½ the price. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
