Cannot load umd games

If you have custom firmware, make sure your "execute boot.bin" and "plain modules" are both disabled under your advanced configuration settings of the recovery menu. Also, make sure your ISO/CSO games are saved in the ISO Folder of your memory stick and that your UMD MODE is set to NO UMD REQUIRED. Your PBP Games should be saved in your PSP/GAME Folder.

Psp always read from umd, making it hang

Hi! I incounter this problem as well even without UMD its still loading and even I disable auto-start UMD still same so I tried reflashing the software but still same problem so I discover the solution before you turn-on your PSP try to open your UMD cover you'll see it will load faster then close again the cover once you see the battery and clock icon... The problem that causing this is the switch inside the UMD possible its stock-up or spoiled already!

PSP wont read games

Did you ever drop it? Usually if a PSP will not read UMD's, either the laser is dirty or it has been moved. If you dropped it, the laser has probably been moved. You'd have to take the whole entire thing apart to move the laser back, assuming you knew the position it should be in in the first place. Even if you have dropped it, the first thing I would do is to pick up a UMD drive cleaning kit for around $10 and try that. If that does not work, I would suggest sending it to be repaired. I hope this helps!

Is this happening with every UMD? If so the laser has gone bad. Google tutorials on how to replace it or have it replaced.

Psp making funny buzz noise and not reading umd disks.

Try a different UMD, it might be scratched. If not, take a soft cloth, and clean the lens. Look on google to see where the lens are located.

Psp is not reading my umds. movies, games...etc. any umd

if you have already tried to read different umds and it still does not work.....i would suggest you remove the battery.....completely restart the unit....if at that time it still does not read umds....u either have a dirty lens or your unit is possibly could attempt to clean with Q-tip and alcohol and retry

Psp funny noises

I have two PSP's (not trying to brag) and they both do the same thing. I think it's just the UMD spinning inside the compartment. You may even be able to feel the PSP vibrating a little.
