Disc Drawers will not open

do visual inspection, try prying the cover open without force.
try putting can of air threw the door opening of the unit.

this can be many things
the switch for the draw it self
the computer that runs the system
it could be jammed
the dvd stuck in the machine and the 5-disc holder
with the unit off put your noise where air goes threw the equipment and smell to see if you smell something has burned smell, if you like something has burn the circuit than the unit need to be repaired.

is the unit have any type of Warrant with it.
if not just take it apart and play with it and maybe you mite fix it or
give to kid or friend that play with electronic stuff, they would fix it for free.
it is may not be worth fixing, call around for labor cost, parts.
than go look online or walmart or price check on the item you want and than deside if it is worth fixing

The unit is connected by small set of gears that push tray /disc out. As tray comes out it either pushes disc out of slot or pops open door (depending on which style of face you have). If you have kids I would not be surprised if something is caught in between disc and face or jamming edge of door. (know this from own experience). The face of player can usually be carefully popped off by gently prying at corners. If you get face off you may be able to see if something is stuck in unit that does not belong, or see if a piece is broken loose near face. If unit has door that opens you can try using a slim but stiff piece of plastic and keep tension on door with plastic while hitting eject button. On some units there is a small hole on face that is manual release that ejects disc - even if no power. Usually takes a long straight push in hole (straightened paper clip or dental pick) and it manually pushes gear set to go out. So many of these units are different but most do have a manual release. Check owners manual to see if it shows a picture of face and possible release hole. Have had kids fight over changing a disc and pushed in on it while it was ejecting so it stripped gears, and had kid hang on ceiling mount unit that tore screen totally off. I feel your pain....

Chances are the loading mechanism is out of alignment. Very hard to realign this mech. even the manufacturer just replaces the entire mechanism when repairing.

There's a Music Bank 7-disc player in use in my bedroom these days. Nice unit, but they used to come in for service once in a while- from what I could tell, these units don't 'park' the CD drawers on a soft power off- they simply shut down. When powered up again, they sometimes let the disc last in play slide off the tray & jam the machine. I've had no issues, as long as I always hit stop, wait for it to park, and then shut off. The analog output's sound has been very good (has a coax out as well).

Try to see if the drawers are blocked by something either inside or outside of the case.

If the unit works with the disc inside, stop it from trying to play.
Reset to default (except parental setting):
(from page 23 of the owner's manual)
Press SETUP in the STOP MODE to enter the menu.
Select 'INITIALIZE' then press OK.
Select 'YES' and press OK twice.
Press SETUP to exit the menu.

Suggestion: You could do a "power reset" - unplug the unit from the wall socket for approximately 10-15 minutes, then reconnect. Turn the unit on - the DVD tray should open and release the disc.

disc is stuck, remove cover screws and carefully remove the disc, do not force the unit, once the disc is out use the remote to close the unit, then use remote to open and use a different disc press play and hopefully it will work, try to avoid not using the remote for all functions,including open-close. do not push tray in manually.

That is usually because of dirty or defetive lens.

Try first using a len cleaner , like the ones here.

If this does not work it will be necessary to take apart the unit and accees the lens to clean it, or replace the lens pickup. The repair must be done by a technician.

In this case call the number listed on the owner manual to get assistance

Our started doing the same thing about a week after the warranty ran out. It has to do with the alignment of the discs being loaded. here's a work-around that works for us:
Open the tray
Choose which disc you are going to watch and use the Change Disc button to push the selected disc to the back (ie, if you want to view Disc 1, discs 3 and 4 will be visible in the tray).
Look down the center holes of discs 3 and 4... manually move your tray left-or-right to align the holes with the tray.
Push the Direct Play button on the top right of the unit for your disc of choice (Disc 1 using the example above).

hope that helps... I've searched for a while and played around with the unit (with and without the cover on) trying to figure out a way to re-align the tray, but no luck.

Page 80 in the instruction manual tells you how to do this.

In case you don't have a manual, do the following:
While the unit is off, press and hold the stop key (shown on the unit as a button with a small black square on it) for about 5 seconds. It may take longer to eject depending on the disc.
