D900i can you keep clock on screen when phone closed?

Never had a slider phone before so not sure if this is just how they are: when slide phone shut after about 3 secs screen goes completely dark, is there any way of setting it so can keep picture or clock showing when phone is shut?

I'm afraid you can't. You can go to settings then light settings to adjust the amount of time you can see the screen when the phone is slid up but not when it's slid down. I guess it's a battery saving precaution... Louise

My iPhone 4 will not let me open my texts, it just shows me that which is in the picture. Then it just closes itself back to the home screen. I do not know what to do. I tried turning off and on and idk I...

You may also try a hard restart. Hold down the power and home button simultaneously (ignore the red slide to turn off slider) for around 10-15 seconds. The phone will shut off, but keep holding the buttons until the apple logo appears.

I am not sure it will solve your problem, but it might. If turning on/off and performing the hard restart do not work. You may have to visit your local apple store to resolve the issue.

Hope that helps!

When I slide my LG Neon phone up to use the keyboard the screen's back light will shut off or flicker, but if I close it it will work just fine. I was wondering how to fix this.

Examine the phone carefully to be sure the slider is not coming apart. You may be catching a wire or something that's causing the issue, and tucking it back into the case of the phone could resolve the issue.

If that doesn't work, it sounds like your phone's hardware is starting to fail. It will probably not be cost effective to repair it yourself. Slider phones often have these issues. If you can, seek a warranty replacement, or look for a new phone.

I have the same problem but the screen will work as long as I keep the slider open which is not very practical, as soon as I slide it closed the screen goes black and I have to turn it off and on again :( Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

Phone stopped working suddenly

This sounds like a flex cable issue. You will need to have a tech examine the device to see if the flex cable needs replacement.

The flex cable is the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the rest of the electronics and allows the slider mechanism to slide and have the device maintain proper electrical connection. After two years it may very well be worn out.

Try checking the time settings:

Settings > Initial Setup > Time & Date

If it is already on Auto update, then try turning it off, perhaps your area time clock it sync's with is screwy and unreliable

Also a note about alarms, I have noticed if you leave your phone slider not on the main screen (closed/off etc) then alarm will not sound

So after those late night calls, make sure to close it and leave it on the main screen.
