Question about Toshiba 42H82 42" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
When I turn my television I get the following type of image:
The picture gets better slowly and after about 35-45 minutes the picture is better. This problem first started a few months ago, but the time for the picture clearing up keeps getting longer. This problem happens on all inputs. This television was purchased new in July 2003. Is it cost effective to repair this or purchase a new television? Thank you for any assistance.
Bad capacitors on the hyper module. there are 11 surface mount capacitors that need to be replace and that should fix it. the caps themselves only cost around $14 for all of them together

I had this problem (see my post above). Our local Toshiba repair shop fixed it for $33.00 in parts. My bill says "replaced capacitors in MVPU14 hyper module". Whatever he did it's working now.

I have the same problem, and don't have a solution yet; however, if you "split screen" on the remote control, you should be able to see one of the screens very clear.

your tv has this problem may be you need to check the cool solder or loose soldering of the components near the high tension voltage area.
