The Palm Desktop (installed on your computer) should have all the information that is currently on it. Make sure that you sync before moving on.

On the tungsten, there will be a version of the palm desktop (updated) for it. Just install that version, it will find your old version, and import from there. PalmDesktop 6 supports Vista, unknown how well it will work as a 32bit app being emulated in 64bit environment.
