Hi, i have a rca cable modem. The company says its "flapping" and swapped it out. Is there was from my computer i can see this diagnostic info? I believe its a model 425. Thanks
If you still have the modem, disconnect the coax-cable.
Connect the Ethernet cable.
Connect the AC power.
On your computer:
Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD and press ENTER
Enter IPCONFIG and press ENTER
Look for the "default gateway" IP-address, e.g., '192.168.2.1'
Start Internet Explorer.
Enter: http://192.168.2.1
to see if you can connect to the web-interface inside the router.
Good luck.
