Hi,
After dropping my Nokia 6310i the network signal has dropped very low, most times dissapears so failing to contact the network. Can this be repaired by a keen novice, a specialist or is it scrap ? Regards Brian Jones
It's possible that you could fix it, but not entirely likely. It depends on whether it's just a bent antenna connector or if a circuit board is broken.
Some phones have a small spring-type piece that makes contact with the antenna. If this is merely bent, and not making a great connection, you might be able to coax it back into shape and that might fix your phone. Otherwise, it's probably beyond the ability of an amateur to repair.

Hi I have just bought a s/h Nokia 6310i which is on the Orange network. I have unlocked it with an unlock code and put my previous sim in and hey presto on entering my 4 digit secuity code the phone unlocks/opens however it still says it's on the orange network although my sim is a pay as yiu go on the vodafone network. It also displays a number which I assume must be it's previous telephne number but does not display my sim card phone number! I've tried phoning my number but it goes straight to voice mail, the phones previous number is unattainable any help would be appreciated. Thanks Alec Fielding
