Purchased new Bosch diswasher last week. Dishes were EXTREMELY cloudy, so thought that we had purchased a lemon. We returned it and purchased top of the line Kitchenaid. Installed it today and dishes were still EXTREMELY cloudy. Do you think that the problems originates in the water heater.

We replaced the water heater. Plumber thought that this problem was very rare, since the dishes were sooo extremely clouded. But, we went ahead and replaced the water heater, and had to run the affected dishes through a full cycle with a decalsifier solution, since it seems that the cloudiness had gotten baked on with heated dry, since we had run the dishwasher so many times in an effort to get that awful film to come off.
The dishwasher is back to same problem. If I am being careful about the amount of soap, WHY is it getting baked on? Very. very frustrating! I appreciate your suggestions.

www.dishwasherfilter.com has a great new product out that filters the water going into your dishwasher. it reduces minerals that cause that white build up or residue. it goes under the sink and doesnt take up much room at all. my dishes looked terrible until i put this filter in. it is very affordable and works great.
