You don't say whether you have had it working at that location before. When you move a TV between houses, it is necessary to retune your channels. Would recommend returning to first time installation.
If you haven't moved it recently there are other reasons why this might happen. 1) There is damage to your aerial caused by weather, 2) A power surge or loss of power to the memory battery on your video board has wiped the frequency information from the memory [the memory battery is like a watch battery that keeps a small amount of power going through the system to it can keep your settings when unplugged], 3) The internal tuner board for your TV has packed in.
If '1' is the case, obviously you need your aerial fixed; if '2' is the case you need to retune again [you'll know if the battery is dead if you have to retune every time you turn on the TV]; if '3' is the case you either need a replacement AV board or someone to solder a replacement tuner board to it.

I would recommend using only HDMI. That's what the cable was made for!

Ok: I will guide yourself through "hook up" process.
1. connect your TV set to your VCR, using 3 wires RCA cable(Yellow, red, white) to "Video1" input, yellow only! The other 2(sound channels) connect to "home theater/DVD unit. Use "aux" input.
2. Connect your DVD video output. yellow or 3 colored( green, blue, red) component cables to your TV's Video 2 or "component 1" input.
Now you'll be able to use your TV as a video monitor for your VCR and DVD.
The sound will be handled by DVD/Home theater. In case your TV is a very modern, all you can get out is: direct digital sound stream. Your home theater must be equipped with coaxial(orange) input(looks like RCA plug) or optical input. Or both. You must use proper cables to connect TV to Home theater.
sorry, but it requires some patience and thorough reading of user manuals.
Otherwise, it's "level 1" difficulty. nothing you may damage, due to installation.

Sounds like your main board will need to be replaced.

Even digital signals can be sensitive to electrical interference and using an antenna, you could be getting garbage from any nearby 'noisy' source. Something you might try is to temporarily switch off any electrical device in your home, one at a time and look for changes in the banding you have.
If the antenna you are using is outside (rooftop) and is rotor equipped, try changing the position to see if there is any increase or decrease of the problem. If an indoor antenna, rotate it slowly while watching the TV display for change. You may be able to determine the general direction of the source of interference. Some seemingly innocent devices that can cause problems; - Light dimmers/controllers - Poorly designed network routers - Cordless phones - Power supplies

Check your wheel and see if the small wheel inside of it is tightened, I suspect that you had wound a bobin recently and didn't tighten it back enough

Is it spring wound or weighted with pine cones? I have a feeling the movers wound it up for you and over wound it. you can release the tension on the spring by carefully letting the key unwind while you hang on to the catch, I just got a clock from somebody, it was way over wound, took about 10 full turns out of it and got it running, it has been going for about a week without touching the spring. I haven't got the chimes back yet.,,, Now if it is a weighted mechanism, the chain may have jumped the track. Check that out. Other than that, I can't see why it shouldn't work. Hope this helps.

I just bought a sc-pt660, I have a philips tv too, the TV only available output is digital coax but the home theater only has digital optical input, you may buy a digital coax to optical converter like this one:

Mine does this too, just bought it yesterday and noticed the sound this morning, I guess because the house was quiet, now it's the most annoying noise ever. I have been searching for solutions all day, one forum said to go to the picture settings and turn the light sensor to "OFF"...Haven't gotten home to try it yet, but I hope this helps BOTH of us!
