Fuzzy/out of focus pictures

The pictures are no longer coming out. All of them are fuzzy and out-of-focus. I have no idea how to fix this issue or if it is even fixable. Please help.

Yes, I used the cleaning pads to do so. Thank you though. :)

Yes, I have had the same problem and the problem does not appear to be a smudging of the len.

All of my pictures are fuzzy. Cleaned the lens and checked to see if something had been changed on the menu.

There may be something wrong with the lens (foreign particle got in behind the first lens, since a lens has a few lens), or ther is something wrong with the bayer filter, spinning weel, or any other internal parts that capture the scene.

This may sound kind of obvious, but have you cleaned the lens?

It's common to get finger prints or other marks on lenses, which result in blurred pics.

Fuzzy picturethe

If the colors appear to be aligned and the only isue is focus, than you can adjust the focus on the flyback transformer. Carefully remove the rear cover and locate the flyback transformer (part with large red wire coming out the top). There should be 2 controls/adjustment points on it. One is for screen and the other for focus. Try adjusting the focus using a mirror to see the front of the set. You should adjust the control back and forth a ferw times to "loosen" it up a bit before settling down to the focus point.

Update this with the results.

Fuzzy Picture

Fuzzy is a funny word. I never use it to describe a picture problem. That because fuzzy can go too many different ways. There is snowy fuzzy, blurry fuzzy, grainy fuzzy, and demodulated fuzzy. If the set goes out of focus intermittently that has something to do with the focus ciruitry. If it goes grainy that is a front end problem, usually tuner related. The other types of fuzzy are generally associated with problems in video processing some where. So, which is it?

Oh, and BTW that unit has three small picture tubes in it, one red, one blue, and one green. It doesn't have a 'bulb'.

All of the pictures taken are very fuzzy no matter what you do

check to see if a flower appears on the screen. If it does then the camera is set to macro and all your pictures except close up will be fuzzy. To switch macro off, move the ring on the front of the camera till the arrow is pointed straight down. I was having the same problem. Wasted a whole day of vacation pictures. That was what fixed my problem and I hope it fixes yours too,

Philips 34pw9818 fuzzy screen

Inside the set you should see a large part with a red wire coming out the top. That is the flyback transformer. There will be 1 or 2 controls on the back of it. One should be labeled screen and one focus. Carefully adjust the focus one until the picture is again in focus. Please note that in that area are high voltages (33,000V) that can be dangerous. Be careful where you touch. IT is best to have a mirror so you can see the picture while adjusting the focus control.

Blurry picture

If you know where the fly back is, ok open the casing and see at the back of the fly back, there are two knobs, one for the focus and the other is for the brightness. Try twist both and see which one is for the focus. Ok, from the focus knob try adjusting until the fuzzy sight disappears. Try this, I usually do it to screens with blurry appearances.
