Hi .. need to connect my tv audio through my pioneer 5.1 home theater.I was using normal video audio cable ...shall i use component cable???pls advice

"Component" cable refers to the 3-wire hi-def video connection. It's irrelevant to audio.

Assuming you get all your TV programming through a cable box...

The TV wouldn't actually be a source of audio.

I would advise you to route the Cable Box's BEST DIGITAL audio directly to the Pioneer model number ????? (which would be helpful to know for this conversation).

Run the cable box's normal analog audio to the TV so you can watch it without the Pioneer turned on.

And route the best Cable Video (HDMI, Component?) directly to the TV. Unnecessary paths through the receiver can degrade the signal.

Busted Fuse that continues to burn out on our Pioneer Stereo Reciever SX-1900. We have changed it (the one cylinder one) and swapped outlets but it still doesn't work.. Please help.

disconnect all speaker wires at the receiver and turn back on. If the fuse still blows, the receiver needs to be serviced. If it stays on, reconnect speakers one by one and power up to test. If you need further troubleshooting help, post a comment and I will help.

No sound from tv through unit

You may have to enter TV menu and see if you have a AUDIO setup option, some TV`s you have to enable TV AUDIO OUTPUT, this cancels the built in tv speakers and engages the AUDIO OUTPUT jacks on the TV

Help getting sound from New Sony LCD Television Model XV HTD520 DVD Player with Surround Sound S HTD520

While I could not find it in the manual, I found that you must
go to the menu, open Sound Options and set Speakers to "Fixed".

Note: If you turn off the Surround Sound or DVD player combination you must then go back to the menu and turn the speakers back to Televsion.

I have a jvc 1200 stero

As a general rule surround sound is only sent on HD signals for the dvd. Otherwise it comes to your home in basic stereo sound. Consult your user manual for ways to turn on simulated surround sound also known as Dolby ProLogic.

HTS-GS1 Surround Sound System cannot be utilized for tv.

Check Your TV audio setup, many TV makers out there would like you to turn off the tv speakers in order to use the external speakers.
