You're not giving a lot of information for us to go on. Most restart problems are software. Windows saves a lot of information before it exits Windows and restarts. It's probably a software problem. Reset is a hardware problem.

Replaced the photodeveloper cartridget last week and now I'm getting a grinding sound as it prepares to print. Sound does not happen during printing.
Also cyan toner cartridge was leaking all over, but have put different one in and still getting the grinding noise.

I see the numerous posts identical to mine where eMachine will power on with light on mobo and HDD clicks once, fans on, but no video and doesn't sem to POST. No acces to setup. This occurred after installing 1GB Crucial memory module (CT12864Z40B.16TFY, 1GB 164 pin unbuff DIMM 128x64 DDR) I tried it initially with original 256MB stick in slot2 but it wouldnt POST, so removed 256 and it came up and ran for 2 days but then refused to post again. I have replaced the PSU, same symptoms, but mobo 'looks' good. Due to the number of similar posts I am suspecting BIOS issues. Has anyone experienced same?
