have you tried putting on speaker phone?
your speakers could be damaged.
have you tried pulling the battery out with the device powered on? do you use your phone as a mp3 or alarm? bc sometimes if you have it to high for an extended amount of time the speakers can burst, but it is weird that they also can not hear you? do you ever use a bluetooth headset?
