Ensure that directory is delete when you uninstall and there mates ie........ /EPSON/......whatevers.
Use a new set of downloaded drivers from elsewhere, not the same ones if you can help it and if you cant it is because they dont really exist, ones that work will be many places....... ensure full compatability to your mac OS, I can't help you much there but I can assure you it isn't a problem with the printer it is a mac/driver issue. Hope thaty helps a little cheers
